Yo, COVID virus! Got a minute? Mind if I remove my 17¢ life-saving blue paper mask so that I can better “see” you and “hear” you? Oh. OK. You could care less…
Question for you: can you like jump out of an open window of a moving car and bite me when I am walking on a sidewalk?
‘Cause, you see, I see soooo many people walking, alone, on sidewalks all over the country wearing those Fauci-clown things on their faces.
Just yesterday, midday, I saw what looked like a high-school team of eight joggers, hoofing it down Olympic Blvd. (that is a major boulevard in Los Angeles, six lanes across), wearing those silly little blue hankies. I reckon being healthy and fit teens, their apparent labored breathing was all about the exertion of running, and not at all about their restricted airways. Just for the heck of it, I followed them for 15 blocks. They encountered not one other walking person.
But … Were sure passed by a hundred cars, flying by at forty-five miles per hour. Clearly in danger of catching you from those passing cars.
Ohhhh. Sorry. I should share that most Los Angelinos loathe fresh air. On a magnificent afternoon, 70 degrees nice, I estimated that at least 95% of motorists were sucking Freon, rather thaf fresh air through open windows.
Thanks much, bud. Looking forward to a one liner – by text – from you. Just say’n… A meeting in person works for me but for a nagging concern that some mob or one or more misanthropes might just seek to cancel my sorry (and healthy and vaccinated to the max) behind.
Did I spy you at the market I stopped in a 9:45 last night? Just before closing. Was that you? Must have been! The store is about 136,000 square feet. I counted four shoppers. One checkout clerk, one store assistant manager and three people stocking shelves. The assistant manager urged that I mask up lest he toss me out of the store.
Do not fret. I masked up.
Thus, all is well in the vegetable isle.
Can’t say I disagree.
However, I will continue doing whatever it takes ( mask up, stay 6 feet away from the next human etc.).
At least we’re still here and able to bitch about the inconvenience of dealing with this Covid nightmare.
Last count I believe was about 750k in this country are dead and not able to bitch. Millions worldwide.
I pray that some kind of miracle will get everybody on board and get rid of this nightmare.
Do you remember when seatbelts became mandatory ? That to many was a major inconvenience and became law. Now a days it’s an accepted norm. Something tells me masks will be seen as the norm going forward. I don’t really watch the news anymore ….. I see that as more of a problem than Covid.
Truly wonder what our lives would be like if Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and the rest of them were forced to go dark for 10 years. Quite a thought maybe just hearing things by word of mouth or maybe mail.
In the meantime I will mask up unless I’m home with my family or able to keep my distance from others. Hell, last year was the first year that I can remember not even getting a head cold. Mask up? I think so. No matter what.
Just saying😉😷
•Went to a gas station.
•HAD TO GO to the cashier booth to approve a charge over $50. American Express limits the amount that can be charged at a pump. Because? When it takes $100 to gas up, bad debt skyrockets.
•Lady cashier sitting inside by herself: 3 solid walls AND the customer facing full bullet-proof plexiglass window. In that window (yes, there is a speaker so customer can hear the cashier speaking into a microphone), there is a 5 inch by 2 inch opening (on the very bottom) with a “feeding tray” under that. Enough space to slide a credit card or a pack of cigarettes.
•Poor [insipid] law abiding lady sitting in there, in near total isolation, wearing a mask!
But for the phenomenal idiocy of that, well …
Just saying…
